Khandala does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport to the hill resort is at Pune, which is 69 km from while the nearest railhead is at Lonavala. As Lonavala is on the main railway line between the important destinations of Mumbai (Bombay) and Pune (Poona), all trains plying between the two cities stop here and it becomes easier to for the travelers to reach Mumbai and Pune. It is three hours journey from Lonavala to Mumbai a four-hour train ride from Lonavala to Pune. Khandala is also well connected to Mumbai and Pune by road.
